In this section, you will learn about the different ways of sending an email campaign.
Send or Schedule Email Campaign
This is where you will set your audience information and sending options. In the next article, we will cover them one by one.
Sending Options:
As shown in the previous screenshot, the "Send or Schedule" tab will take you to this page (see the image below) Here you can choose how you would like the campaign sent. You can send it right away, schedule the campaign for a specific time and date, send it in batches or use RSS scheduling as needed.
Send Now
The campaign will be sent to each recipient right away. You have to fill in the;
- Sender (Form)
- Email Subject
- Recipient (To)
Schedule
This allows you to schedule your campaign as per your preferred date and time. Once you are done selecting your date and time, you will also fill out the;
- Sender (Form)
- Email Subject
- Recipient (To)
Batch Schedule
Batch Schedule allows you to divide your audience list into batches thereby letting you decide the number of emails sent per day/week based on your requirements. You will need to fill out this section;
- Sender (Form)
- ****Email Subject
- Recipient (To)****
- Start On
As shown in the image below, you can set the date and time you want to send out the first batch quantity. - No of Recipient
Here you see the total number of recipients selected for the batch schedule. - Batch Quality
This shows the number of recipients that will be sent each batch. - Repeat After
Select the time interval of each batch sent out. - Send On
Select the days of the week you like the email to go out. - Specify Start and End Time
You can decide the exact start time and end time of each day you have chosen.
RSS Schedule
This allows you to create an RSS schedule for your blogs or updates which you would like to send to your email list.
- Sender (Form)
- Email Subject
- Recipient (To)
Sender (From)
Fill up the email address you will be using to send your email campaign and what name you would like to be displayed in the recipient's inbox.
Email Subject
Add the subject line of your email and the preview text for your email campaign. The Subject line is the first thing that the recipients see before opening your email and the Preview Text (Preheader Text) is used as the preview text that displays in some email clients.
Recipient (To):
Provide your recipient's information. You can either choose to add recipients by selecting from your contacts, Smart lists, or choose from Tags.
Choose Contacts
With this option, you can select the contacts from your system to be able to add them to your email campaign. You can add all contacts at once or search for specific contacts with the search bar.
Send to Smart List
Selecting the smart list will allow you to send the campaign to one of the smart lists you have created in the contact section of your CRM.
- Advanced Conditions
Suppose you have 100 contacts in the smart list and you have scheduled the campaign for a future date. If 10 more contacts enter into the smart list from some external events, then would you like those newly added contacts to be added to the email campaign list or you would want to continue with the 100 contacts that the smart list had from the beginning? You can make your decision by selecting from the dropdown menu.
Choose Contacts from Tags
Your system will show the contact tags you have created in your CRM and you can select one of the tags from the dropdown menu. The contacts with the specific tags selected will be added to the email campaign.
- Advanced Conditions
Suppose you have 50 contacts linked to the tag you selected and you have scheduled the campaign for a future date. If 10 new contacts get linked to this tag from some external events, then would you like those newly added contacts to be added to the email campaign list or you would want to continue with the 50 contacts that the tag had from the beginning? You can make your decision by selecting from the dropdown menu.
More Action
- Cancel- If you don't want to save the changes you have made, you can just click on Cancel and go back to the previous menu.
- Save- Use this to save the changes you have made for your sending options, scheduling, and audience targeting.
- Send- Use this when you have already designed your email campaign, set the audience, subject line, and everything and you want to send your campaign right away or on schedule
